I mean, regardless, I like their music, but samplers should do a better job of sampling. Srsly. And besides, it's not like Daft Punk is some underground band that no one's heard of. They totally have all sorts of recognition.

Of course they have lots of recognition. It's just ironic that their first TV appearance for an awards ceremony is NOT for them, but a much less (in my opinion) deserving musician.

... The samples are 100% legit and credited. The songs are VERY revamped and sound a LOT better in Discovery than the original samples. If you've heard any of their mixes you'd be hard pressed to say they can't sample well.

I'm good, beginning to think about taking a semester off to get my shit in order. But then last night I was talking to one of my friends and it turns out second year is just hard in general, so maybe I'll just try to plow through. I'm really loving my classes, and things in general are good. I'd prefer them to be better (they have been in the past) but I'm not upset with what I have.
